[Method]
1.) First soaking of dried sea cucumber: Place the sea cucumber in the refrigerator and soak it in pure water, changing the water every 12 hours, for a total of 48 hours.
2.) Cooking the sea cucumber: After soaking for 48 hours, put the sea cucumber into boiling water. Depending on personal preference for texture firmness, boil for 20 to 30 minutes. After turning off the heat, cover the pot and let it steep at room temperature overnight (in hotter regions, it can be placed in the refrigerator overnight).
3.) Second soaking of the sea cucumber: After steeping overnight, transfer the sea cucumber to pure water and soak it again in the refrigerator, changing the water every 12 hours, for a total of 48 hours. Once fully soaked, it is ready for cooking.
Note: If the soaked sea cucumber is not cooked immediately, it can be placed in a sealed plastic bag and stored frozen in the freezer.
